Following a tropical storm that resulted in flash floods, landslides and strong winds, the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management said today (05) that at least 70 deaths were reported in several islands in Indonesia’s West and East Nusa Tenggara provinces, while 70 others were missingMeanwhile, East Timor which shares the Timor island with Indonesia reported 27 deaths while nearly 7,000 people remain displaced. According to the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management, the cyclone is moving away from Indonesia. However, its intensity is expected to increase over the next 24 hours, bringing about more unfavourable weather conditions.
