9 killed, 32 injured in terrorist attack in Pakistan’s Peshawar

Police and rescue workers stand outside the Directorate of Agriculture Institute in Peshawar, Pakistan, on Friday. The militants stormed the building by firing automatic weapons, creating panic, officials said. A senior police official said all the terrorists were killed by security forces after a gunfight which lasted for an hour. Peshawar, close to the Afghan border, has seen some of the worst violence during the Taliban insurgency in recent years. In 2014 Taliban militants attacked an army-run school in Peshawar, leaving 141 people dead in one of the worst assaults in the country’s recent history.
