DAVAO CITY — At least nine persons, including a two-year old child, were confirmed killed when a truck lost its brake along the Diversion Road of Matina Pangi here around 9:30 am on Tuesday, June 11. The wayward truck rammed through several houses and four vehicles parked by the roadside. Police said the 10-wheeler wing van truck registered under BSBC trucking and loaded with sacks of rice, lost its brake and rammed into several houses and four vehicles parked by the roadside. The truck came from Panacan area in the north and was running at a high speed towards Matina area. Tagum has yet to know the identity of the truck driver currently held in the custody of the Talomo police.
