The match of the round in Invercargill club cricket on Saturday was between Marist and Southland Boys’ High School 1st XI. Marist bowlers Josh Fitzgibbon and Sam Rodden took four wickets each. The Marist reply started poorly, as the side’s three big guns failed to fire. Invercargill Old Boys batted first against Metropolitan and put on 251 for six, thanks largely to Liam McWilliam (69) and Amarpreet Singh (65). Old Boys bowlers Blake Tempero and Sam Nicholson took three wickets each as Metropolitan fell well short.
