According to her, about 400 personnel are expected to be trained nationwide in the use of equipment to enforce the law on our roads. This follows the implementation of the Motor Insurance Database policy by the National Insurance Commission which commenced on January 20, 2020 to curb the menace of fake insurance stickers plying the roads. “Aside the training, the National Insurance Commission has also promised to donate handheld devices to the police department to enable personnel to scientifically determine insurance stickers which are fake”. Mr Justice Ofori said the Commission would continue to collaborate with the Police and other agencies like the Driver and Vehicle License Authority in enforcing the successful implementation of the Motor Insurance Database policy.
