SAN PEDRO CITY – Police said they found eight sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) from a suspected illegal drug pusher slain in a shootout in Sta. Cruz town in Laguna province on Friday. Eleazar Matta, in a text message, said police conducted the buy-bust around 3 a.m. in Barangay (village) Bagumbayan. ADVERTISEMENTBut during the transaction, the suspect, Dante Revolteado, alias “Bawang,” allegedly opened fire, prompting the gunfight. Revolteado was, so far, the second suspect, after Jon Jon Elca of Lumban town, to be killed in a police shootout, as the Laguna police conducted province-wide anti-drugs and anti-crime operations since Friday.
