8 more parliamentary standing committees constituted

Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury placed separate proposals over the formation of the eight committees in the House. Former Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali was made the chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance Ministry while former Industries Minister Amir Hossain for the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industries Ministry, former Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed for the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce Ministry and Awami League MP Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim for the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare Ministry. Besides, former Health Minister Mohammad Nasim was made chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food Ministry, former Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury for the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture Ministry, Awami League MP Muhammad Faruk Khan for the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Ministry and former LGRD Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain for the Parliamentary Standing Committee on LGRD and Cooperatives Ministry. Earlier, parliament constituted 10 other parliamentary committees for the 11th parliament.
