The 22-year-old survivor is now undergoing treatment at One-stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH). Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Deputy Commissioner (North) Bijay Basak confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune. According to the police, the survivor came from Rangunia upazila of the district on a CNG-run autorickshaw and got off at Chandgaon area around 10:30pm. She was headed for home at the city’s Chawkbazar area when she was forced to get down from the rickshaw and dragged to a nearby area. Process is underway to file a case with Chandgaon police station in this connection.
