8-Member team for Asian Junior Badminton Championship View(s):Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB) has named an 8-member squad, 4 Boys and 4 Girls, for the Asian Junior Badminton Championship to be held at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre in Suzhou, China from July 20-28. The Boys’ team comprises Chamath Kavinda Dias, Dumindu Warnaka Abeywickrama, Lochana Oshan de Silva and Chirath Santhush Illeperuma, while the Girls’ team comprises Dilmi Prameshika Dias,, Panchali Janodya Adhikari, Yeheni Vonara Kuruppu and Jananuwani Amanda de Silva. The team will be managed by Ranjith Premasiri and coached by Pavithra Gunawardana, while Gayani Inoka Hinidumage will be the Lady Chaperon. The event has been divided into 2 Stages, the Mixed Team Championships will be from July 20-23, followed by the Individual Championships from July 24-28. The championship is jointly organised by Badminton Asia, the Sport’s continental governing body, and the Chinese Badminton Association.
