Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday promised that 7th Pay Commission benefits would pass to Tripura, if Bhartiya Janta Party would come to power. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing two rallies in the poll-bound state. PM Modi said that Tripura government employees still get salary according to the Fourth Pay Commission, while the 7th Pay Commission has been implemented across the country. Modi said that the BJP government was committed to implementing seventh pay commission scales in the state if the party comes to power. Fitment factor is a figure used by 7th CPC with which the basic pay in 6th CPC regime (i.e Pay in Pay band + Grade pay) is multiplied in order to fix basic pay in revised pay structure (i.e 7th CPC).
