Nearly 80,000 motorists drove through new Waterview Tunnel in the first 24 hours of opening. Transport authorities are today praising motorists for a hassle-free first rush hour through the newly opened Waterview Tunnel. Auckland motorists are in turn lauding the new motorway connection, saying it is making their journey across the city quicker than ever.
