70pc HKers willing to pay HK$200 to get tested prior to "travel bubble” trips

A recent study conducted by The Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong shows that 70 percent of the respondents are willing to pay HK$200 to get tested before they participate in “travel bubble” trips. The DAB interviewed over 1000 Hong Kong citizens aged over 18 years from September 30 to October 8. Around 63 percent of the respondents are in favor of the government to put the “travel bubble” agreement with other countries into effect as soon as possible. Fifty-four percent of the respondents said they will go on travel under the “travel bubble” agreement and 70 percent of them said they are willing to pay at most HK$200 to undergo virus testing in order to go on travel. The DAB urge authorities to oversee the outsourcing of the tests by private firms for the four long-term testing centers which will be opened this month, to shorten the testing process and make sure the price will be affordable by citizens.
