The Directorate General of Health Services, or DGHS, said as many as 422 were hospitalised in Dhaka among the new dengue patients until Thursday morning, reports bdnews24.com. With the new counts, the number of hospitalised dengue patients has reached 69,456 this year. As many as 4,326 patients are currently undergoing treatment for dengue in hospitals across the country. The DGHS has been keeping records of dengue hospitalisations and deaths since 2000. Since then, a record 321,179 dengue hospitalisations were logged in 2023.
