In Lakshmipur, one person died—and three others were injured—when a truck hit a standby CNG auto-rickshaw in Temuhoni of Lakshmipur town, in the early hours of Thursday. Later, after police and locals rescued the injured and admitted them to Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital, the on-duty doctors declared Dukhu Mia dead. Police seized the truck and the CNG auto-rickshaw. All three victims were killed on the spot, said Mohsin Ali, officer-in-charge of Bagha Police Station.
