PIROJPUR, March 8, 2024 (BSS) – Seven people were killed and 10 others injured in a three-way collision among a bus, a battery-run auto rickshaw and a motorcycle on the Pirojpur-Parerhat road in Jhautla area under Sadar upazila of the district this afternoon. All the deceased were riders of the motorcycle and passengers of the battery-run auto rickshaws. The accident occurred when an Indurkani-bound passenger bus from Pirojpur bus stand hit a passenger-carrying battery-run auto-rickshaw going in the same direction on the way and it hit another motorcycle. Police and fire service personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the injured and took them to Pirojpur Zilla Hospital, where on-duty doctor declared four of them dead, the OC said. The bodies of the deceased have been kept at Pirojpur Zilla Hospital.
