CMCH police outpost Inspector Jahirul Alam said: "The seven died because of the wall collapse, not due to burn injuries." Chittagong Fire Service and Civil Defence Deputy Assistant Director Purna Chandra Mutsuddi said: "We were informed about the incident around 9:08am. "The explosion occurred on the ground floor due to a leakage in the gas riser which was supposed to be placed outside, causing high casualty," he added.
