From Tribune staff reportsA single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, has claimed the life of a Cypress Inn, Tenn. man, according to Senior Trooper Cody Farrar of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. “Jerry W. Copeland, 62, was fatally injured when the 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a drainage ditch,” Farrar said. “Copeland was pronounced deceased at the scene.”The crash occurred on Lauderdale County 5 near Graceland Drive, approximately 10 miles north of Florence, in Lauderdale County. No further information is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
