60 St Brigid Nangwe students injured by lightning strike60 students of St Brigid Nangwe in Kabuchai Constituency were struck by lightning on Sunday night.The students were said to have been going on with their evening preps when heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning struck. The school Principal, Fransiscah Munyasia, said the students were struck while in class and rushed to Khalaba Medical Centre in Bungoma town. She said that the admitted girls were in stable condition and were responding well to treatment at the medical facility. The lightning struck and certain girls started calling for help. Michael Milimo, a medical officer at the facility, said that those admitted had suffered burns but were responding to treatment.
