Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the area and arrested three drug dealers with yaba pills around 9:30pm, said Jaintiapur Model police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamal Banik. Other drug dealer attacked police and tried to snatch the trio, leaving six policemen injured. Additional Superintendent of Police Md Aminul Islam said the drug dealers’ attempt to snatch the arrestees had failed. In a separate drive, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two drug dealers from Chadnighat in Dakshin Surma upazila the same night with yaba pills and phensedyl.
