Six people were killed and several others injured after armed Pokot bandits attacked Lokori in Turkana South on Saturday. It is said over 100 armed Pokots from Mosol in West pokot and Tirioko in Tiaty, Baringo County raided Turkanas in Lokori torching several houses and stealing unknown number of livestock. A senior Pokot elder told the Star on Sunday the six died in the incident which is seen as a revenge attack. He said the armed Pokots may have attacked Turkana to retaliate the Kapedo attacks two months ago where nine Pokots including women and children were shot and slashed with pangas. Five injured KDF soldiers were airlifted to Nairobi for specialized treatment while the two KPR and two GSU officers were taken to St Mary's Gigil and Mediheal hospitals in Nakuru county respectively.
