On Wednesday, May 29, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Eastern Africa announced that Kenya Police would receive Ksh920 million that had been negotiated by President William Ruto during the US state visit. The money is being advanced by the United States Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs. According to the US government, the money will be used to modernise the Kenya National Police Service College, Main Campus Kiganjo. The Ksh920 million package will also be used to improve knowledge development and talent management. Lastly, the money will be used to support the development of proactive communication strategies for the college and other criminal entities.
