Melt With YouOn the first day of summer in 2005, Snapple sought to break a Guinness World Record by erecting a 25-foot, 35,000-pound tower of flavored ice in Union Square. The kiwi-strawberry pillar was to be the world’s largest Popsicle. The massive frozen block, shipped from New Jersey, had barely been raised before it started to liquefy into a pink ooze that spilled out onto the street.
