Some 59,023 more citizens were inoculated with the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine on Saturday, raising the number of the first dose recipients to 1,07,22,856 in Rangpur division. "Among the 59,023 new first dose recipients, 47,627 were inoculated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 25 with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs and 11,371 Pfizer Covid-19 jabs," said Divisional Director (Health) Dr Abu Md Zakirul Islam. The total first dose recipient 1,07,22,856 citizens include 37,56,386 people vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs, 51,76,589 people with Sinopharm Covid-19 jabs, 1,31,849 with Moderna Covid-19 jabs and 16,59,032 with Pfizer Covid-19 jabs. Meanwhile, the number of second dose recipients of Covid-19 vaccine rose to 64,22,645 with inoculation of more 42,622 people with the second dose of the jabs today in the division. "The 1,49,757 booster dose recipients include 1,45,317 vaccinated with AstraZeneca Covid-19 jabs and 4,440 Pfizer Covid-19 jabs," Dr Islam added.
