After spending almost two decades wrongfully convicted of rape, 57-year-old Andrew Malkinson has finally been exonerated. Malkinson’s life has been drastically changed since his wrongful conviction in 2003. Finally free from the burden of his wrongful conviction, Malkinson hugged his mother outside of prison and assured her that it was truly over. With a newfound freedom, he can now move forward and begin to rebuild his life after losing a third of it to a wrongful conviction.
