The report, titled ‘Airpocalypse-II’, said that 180 million people were living in areas where the PM10 levels were more than twice the annual limit of 60 micrograms per cubic metre. Combined, these States account for 12.9 million children who are five years or younger and living with PM10 levels more than double the annual limit. Faridabad and Bhiwadi in Haryana, Patna in Bihar and Dehradun in Uttarakhand rounded up the top five most polluted cities list.
