A 53-year-old man has been arrested after an armed police call-out at Christchurch Hospital on Wednesday. Armed police swooped on the Oxford Tce area at 10.30am after a report a person had entered the Christchurch Outpatients' building with a gun. The 53-year-old has been taken into custody and is due to appear in Christchurch District Court on September 14, a police spokesperson said. Patients should attend their appointments at the Christchurch Hospital campus as planned, he said. Police near Christchurch Hospital on Wednesday.
