These Bangladeshi nationals were stranded in India and Singapore due to travel restrictions enforced to contain the coronavirus pandemic. A Special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying 144 passengers from Bangalore of India landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 6:40pm on Wednesday, said Biman's Deputy General Manager (Public Relations) Tahera Khondoker. Earlier in the day, another special flight of Singapore Airlines carrying 216 Bangladeshis from Singapore Changi Airport landed in Dhaka at 2:25pm, a top airport security official confirmed. One more special flight of US-Bangla Airlines carrying 169 Bangladeshis from Chennai of India landed at HSIA around 3pm.
