MANILA, Philippines — Over half a million Filipinos have already been inoculated against COVID-19 since the start of the vaccine rollout more than three weeks ago, the Department of Health (DOH) said yesterday. Based on the DOH’s Vaccination Statistics, 508,332 individuals were given the first shot of either Sinovac or AstraZeneca vaccine. Vergeire reiterated that the country’s future supply of COVID-19 vaccines may be jeopardized if the vaccines will be given to non-health workers. 400,000 Sinovac doses arriveAnother 400,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines arrived and were released by the Bureau of Customs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) yesterday morning. The new batch of vaccines is part of the one million Sinovac doses donated by China to the Philippines.
