KLUANG: A Bangladeshi man was killed when a 500kg concrete cylinder from a lorry broke loose and fell on him at KM60 of Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing yesterday. District police chief Assistant Commissioner Muhamad Laham said while he was controlling the traffic, one of the cylinders on the back of the lorry broke loose, rolled off the lorry and crushed him. "The victim was standing too close to the lorry and did not have enough time to escape," he said. The victim’s body was taken to Enche Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital for post mortem.
