Five senior personnel, including the two engineering heads, head of logistics, head of marketing and chief product officer have quit just this month. The former was instrumental in the rapid rise of the company, but was replaced by somebody who used to work for Flipkart’s largest investor. It’s valuation has been marked down by as much as 40 per cent by existing investors in one year wiping out billions of dollars of investor wealth. Its losses will probably reduce this financial year, but the losses of its logistics arm are increasing.
