5 more BNP candidates challenge result of 11th general polls

Barrister Ruhul Kuddus Kajal, representing the BNP candidates, has confirmed the matter of the case filings regarding the result of the December 30 polls. Previously, on Tuesday and Wednesday, seven other BNP national election candidates filed cases with the election tribunal of the High Court; on allegations of vote rigging and challenging the victory of the candidates elected. Previously, on February 9, BNP decided to file cases from all 64 districts with the election tribunal of the High Court. Although some of the BNP standing committee members were against filing the cases, BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman did not take their reservations into cognizance.
