(MENAFN)An Ethiopian official said on Monday that clashes erupted between security forces and armed men in the weekend in Amhara region in Ethiopia and resulted in the death of 5 people. State media outlet Ethiopia News Agency said that deadly clashes took place between unidentified gunmen and security forces in the weekend and killed 5 people, Tefera Wondemagehnu, Chief Administrator of North Shoa zone of Amhara regional state said. Four people were wounded in the fights, local and federal security forces were dispatched to the area to stop a recurrence of the violence in the weekend.
