Staff Reporter :In a tragic incident on Thursday morning, at least five people, including a woman, lost their lives in a collision between a private car and a truck in the Haritala area along the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, under Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj district. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shaistaganj Highway Police, Badrul Karim, confirmed the incident to the media. Badrul Karim said, “Jamal Mia’s family had rented a private car from Savar Hemayetpur in Dhaka on Wednesday morning to visit Sylhet Hazrat (RA) Shahjalal’s shrine. They recovered the bodies and transported them to the morgue at Habiganj Sadar Hospital. OC Badrul Karim also stated that necessary legal proceedings were underway in connection with the incident.
