MANILA, Philippines — Five earthquakes struck the municipality of General Luna in Surigao del Norte early Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported. A few hours later, a magnitude 4.2 quake was recorded at 7:10 a.m. The series of quakes that struck Surigao del Norte came after the province felt a magnitude 5.5 tremor on Friday afternoon.
