Two one-year-old children and another, aged one month, died on March 15, 16 and 17, respectively, he said, with two dying in the last week of February. Residents, mostly children, of Arunpara, Natunpara, and Luingkhiang villages under Ward 7 of Sajek union, have been infected with the disease, the civil surgeon said. A five-member medical team from the district health department is working there, Khisha said. The villages, situated 50 to 60km apart, from Sajek union, have little access to proper healthcare system.
