Five protesters were arrested Thursday morning as city officials and police moved in to dismantle Camp Cloud, the pipeline protest camp on Burnaby mountain. George Manuel of the Shuswap Nation, who has been living at Camp Cloud for the past four to five months says he was one of the protesters arrested. George Manuel says he has lived at Camp Cloud for the past four to five months. Burnaby neighbours of Trans Mountain protest camp say they are thrilled to see it go. They were tired of alleged threats and fire risk from sacred protest fire — fought City of Burnaby to get rid of Camp Cloud for almost a year.
