Lucy, the wife of retired president Mwai Kibaki, died on April 26, 2016, while receiving treatment at Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London, UK. Retired president Mwai Kibaki and his grandson Mwai Kibaki Jnr. The former first lady was known for her public dramas, and remembering the day she passed away, her grandson Mwai Kibaki Jnr shared a photo she took with her hubby (Mwai Kibaki) many moons ago. Lucy and Kibaki had four children; three sons and a daughter namely Jimmy Kibaki, David Kagai, Tony Githinji and Judy Wanjiku. Kenyans heaped praises on the former head of state for reviving the country’s economy when he took over from Moi.
