Research indicates that corporate diversity programs often leave White males feeling threatened, with some White males even perceiving these programs as unfair. How can White males be allies for their colleagues from diverse backgrounds? Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are an excellent way for White males to be part of the conversation. White men who want to be allies should make a concerted effort to listen to the experiences of diverse coworkers. It is of ever-increasing importance for White male employees to use their privilege to help other groups of less advantage.
