I did not check out the school district I lived in or even consider how attractive my home would be to a family. Later when I tried to sell, I learned that I bought in a terrible school district and I had a hard time selling. I later found out a number of people were moving because of the school district. #2 Your emotions may choose a home that overrides your home ownership lifestyle needs. Consider your lifestyle and commitment to upkeep your property before buying.
