Last year, Fox canceled Brooklyn Nine-Nine at the last moment before announcing its fall schedule. It took less than 48 hours for NBC to swoop in and un-cancel the show, giving it a sixth season. On Wednesday, NBC gave the comedy an early renewal, committing to a seventh season. The show’s ratings are decent. NBC says Nine-Nine has the highest share of non-linear viewing—that is, viewing from sources other than television—of any of its shows.
