De Belen said search and rescue operations were ongoing for the three and other victims of the incident. The bridge collapsed at about 9:30 a.m. in Nanfangao, a tiny but often-crowded Pacific coast fishing village, when a large oil tanker crossed it and then tumbled backward as the cable-supported structure collapsed.
