5 Ansar-al-Islam members held in Dhaka

The arrestees are: Md Saifulullah, 26; Md Abdul Alim, 22; Md Faizullah, 18; Md Zahirul Islam, 19; and Md Mainuddin alias Sajib, 19. Confirming the matter to the Dhaka Tribune, DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Masudur Rahman said they had conducted the raid based on a tip-off at Chontech area in Jatrabari on Tuesday at around 7:30pm. "During primary interrogation, the arrestees informed us that they had gathered in Jatrabari with the intention of creating violence," the deputy commissioner informed. He said they were investigating for further information about other members of the group.
