Photo: Getty ImagesThere are 492 new community cases of Covid-19 and two deaths to report in the South. The Ministry of Health said in a statement this afternoon that nationally there were 5435 community cases, 377 current hospitalisations and 15 deaths. Of the people whose deaths were reported today, three were from Northland, five from the Auckland region, one from Taranaki, one from MidCentral, one from the Wellington region, one from Canterbury, one from South Canterbury and two from Southern. The total number of publicly reported deaths with Covid now stands at 1374 and the seven-day rolling average of reported deaths is 12. Meanwhile, there were 107 new imported cases reported today.
