For New Brunswickers of a certain age, the name Malcolm Bricklin brings forth a couple of images. Forty-five years later, Malcolm Bricklin still has a lot of similarities to the entrepreneur who took New Brunswick by storm in the mid-70s. Premier Richard Hatfield wanted to showcase New Brunswick as a province that was more than 'fishermen and loggers,' according to Malcolm Bricklin. Twelve seconds was fine, until one day Malcolm Bricklin himself tried to get into his car in a downpour. Bricklin says he told Hatfield the Bricklin SV-1 would get plenty of publicity, which included its official unveiling in New York City.
