45 party-list groups guaranteed House seats–ComelecBy The Manila TimesAT least 45 out of the 134 party-list groups in the midterm polls are guaranteed of landing a seat in the 304-member House of Representatives. Comelec spokesman James Jimenez said on Wednesday that the number may still increase depending on the outcome of the ongoing count. A total of 61 seats are alloted for party-list groups. “There are 45 party-list [groups] that will be proclaimed but a couple more may be added to that list subject to the computations being finalized now,” said Jimenez. The top 10 party-list groups are ACT-CIS, Bayan Muna, Ako Bicol, Cibac, Ang Probinsiyano, 1-Pacman, Marino, Probinsiyano Ako, Senior Citizens and Ang Magsasaka.
