A 44-year-old Delhi Police constable died late on Friday evening after a man allegedly beat him up before “accidentally” pushing him under a bus. Constable Lokesh, who was run over by the rear wheels of the bus, was rushed to a nearby hospital but is believed to have died on the spot. The argument then snowballed into a scuffle between Lokesh and Pandey, during which the latter allegedly pushed the policeman towards the road. A native of Barabanki village of Sonepat, Lokesh was posted with the North district of the police control room (PCR). He wanted to check the bags and asked for them to be opened,” said Vikramjit Singh, DCP (Outer), on Sunday.
