The 40th edition of Gunidas Sangeet Sammelan will have an impressive line-up of doyens from the world of Hindustani classical music. The three-day festival which kicks off on December 1, 2016, will see Begum Parveen Sultana, Ustad Rashid Khan, Pt Nayan Ghosh, Pt Satish Vyas, Kaushiki Chakraborty and Atulkumar Upadhyay perform. Well-known santoor exponent and secretary, Maharashtra Lalit Kala Nidhi, Pt Satish Vyas told DNA: “My father Pandit CR Vyas started the Gunidas Sangeet Sammelan in 1977 under the aegis of the charitable trust Maharashtra Lalit Kala Nidhi (MLKN). The 40th Gunidas Sangeet Sammelan will conclude with the extremely talented and sought after vocalist Ustad Rashid Khan with Subhankar Banerjee on tabla and Ajay Joglekar on harmonium.
