Dr Manowar Hossain, district civil surgeon, said only 86 diagnostic centers of 128 in the district have license. Ziaur Rahman, administrative magistrate of district administration, said he has recently conducted drives against illegal diagnostic centres in the district and arrested seven doctors and technicians besides sealing off a number of unauthorized diagnostic centres. He said approvals for a good number of diagnostic centres have already expired and they are doing business without getting license renewed.
