The top level of an Auckland car park has been closed for a month and business owners say they have been financially impacted. Nearly 400 motorists are still out of pocket after being overcharged due to a blunder in two Auckland Council-owned carpark buildings. Auckland Transport had incorrectly programmed a computer to charge normal weekday rates rather than public holiday discounts on that day. He wanted Auckland Transport to advertise the issue so those unknowingly affected could claim it back. Auckland Transport has put signs in the two carpark buildings and is urging anyone overcharged on January 2 to make contact.
