Ontario reports 1,747 new COVID-19 cases, 15 new deaths on Sunday. The Middlesex-London Health Unit reported 40 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend, bringing the total number of known active cases in the region up to 166. The health unit is still waiting for the results of 27 confirmed positive variant strain cases. The Middlesex-London Health Unit said it was made aware of at least 10 different post-secondary student gatherings in private homes beginning of March. St. Michael's is the first school in the region to completely close due to active COVID-19 cases since classes reopened in February.
